AN AFTERNOON WELL-SPENT

Wake up, get dressed, go to work, come home, cook dinner, spend the rest of the night catching up on social media, pass out and repeat. This is the kind of rut I've been stuck in since I returned to work after a month long holiday. I suppose you could call it 'getting back into a routine' or 'having some structure in your life' but it could also be called 'sitting in a warm bath with slit wrists' - it's warm and comfy but you're slowly dying on the inside.

It's amazing what an afternoon of crafting, good food and lovely friends can do for your soul! It awoke a part of my brain that had gone into hibernation at the end of my holidays. Suddenly, I remember this skill called crochet that I used to be obsessed with. Then I start thinking of all the craft projects I can begin (and which ones I can do on my 1 hour commute) and have this growing urge to learn every crafting skill that exists!

Garlic pizzas (by Meilyn), yummy punch, and soba noodles with aubergine and mango (both by Kelly).
